oh hi

Oh how things have changed in the past 2.5 months.

molly and melissa
(Yes, this photo cuts me out of it. That's fine. Molly and Melissa are the pretty ones anyway!)

Because several of my friends begin blog posts with a photo, I'm jumping on that clever little bandwagon. The lovely Molly (mememolly) came to New York City this past week and stayed with me at Melissa's (pottercast and/or melissaanelli) in Brooklyn for a night. We spent a few days together in the city, including a delightful mini-tour of vegan cafes in the Village. Always a good time with Molly.

Since I last posted, I moved back home to Pennsylvania, continued my days/week-long stays with Melissa in Brooklyn, went on a 3-week tour with my friends Matt and Justin throughout the entire east side of the country, went to Texas to see my best friend for 9 days, and have just returned home to start settling down.

Or so I thought. It's a possibility I'm leaving again in 2 weeks. When will I sit still? Oh well. I can sit still when I start school again in the Fall, right?

Yes, school starts again for me in the Fall. Slow transcripts have caused me to miss deadlines to go to school this semester, so I'm off for now. Next year, I'll be in my last year of college in New York City, hopefully living with my friends Jessica and Kelli. They are always a good time. AND Jessica is the first person in the Harry Potter fandom who I met in real life (yes, in my mind I said "IRL" before typing out "in real life").

Pretty lame update. Because it's been so long, I'm going to end with a photo as well. The below photo was taken with Cade (cadegoestocollege) when I visited in Texas about a week and a half ago (even though it feels like a year).

I hope everyone is doing well!! <3 Oh, and happy new year!

PS. Toootally got partnered on YouTube last week. It doesn't mean anything, really, but it's fun to play around with.

having fun already

Down to two days left here in Seattle. It's so sad, but... this weekend on the east coast is going to be something epic.

The entirety of PotterCast will be in NYC. Well, Melissa lives there, but I haven't seen her in over TWO MONTHS. I practically live with her when I'm home. It's just WRONG to go this long without seeing her. I haven't seen Sue or Frankie since August! I haven't seen John in a little over a month. This has got to end.

ALSO, the Ministry and Mudblood guys are coming to the Bryn Mawr Yule Ball. AH. I miss them all so much. I CANNOT wait to see Lauren and Nina as well!

Okay. I'm calm. I have to find shipping boxes. This will be an adventure.

When I'm feeling down after I've moved away from Kristina and Eia, keep me company with moral support?

from wordpress

It seems as though blogger is the place to be, so I've moved here from wordpress (not that I posted there very often anyway). I'm just going to copy and paste the same entry I just entered into my wordpress blog. It makes my life a little bit easier.

First, let me premise this entire entry with a brief explanation of where I currently stand. I've been living in Seattle since the end of September with Kristina and Eia (as well as 4 other people we met upon moving here). I'm 21 years old, and I've been to four different colleges in 4 years. In January, I will probably be starting on my 5th college. I guess you could say I get around.

I'm a huuuge fan of the Harry Potter community. Until YouTube Live this past weekend, that was pretty much the extent of my online experience, as well as the sole reason I know people from all over the world. Damn you, YouTube. I'm seriously going to further my frivolous spending on airfare and travel. So it goes.

I'm going to shut up now, paste my previous entry from wordpress, and go watch a movie. Insomnia sucks.

*As some people may already know, I think I’m NYC-bound in…. 5 days. It’s been emotional and an extremely hard decision to make, but I need to graduate school, and I just can’t do it here in Washington. I want to get a job and start my life in the city, and that includes finishing my final year of college there.

In other news, I am officially a YouTube-addict. Last weekend, Kristina and I flew out to San Francisco for YouTube Live. It was a huge event, and I got about 203974 text messages throughout, seeing as I was directly next to the stage and friends could see me from home. We stayed with Molly and Nadine, and partied quite a bit, including at the infamous after-party of MC Hammer. I met some seriously amazing people, most of whom hold some YouTube-fame, but seeing as I’m a n00b at it all, I had no idea until I got home. Some of the friends we met that weekend? We haven’t stopped talking since Sunday. Today is officially Saturday. That’s a lot of talking.

I can’t sleep. I haven’t been sleeping right for weeks. My mind just doesn’t seem to want to shut up.

Okay, I’ll leave it there for now. I should update more often. I live a pretty exciting life. You would think I would have exciting posts as a result. Instead, I just try and update my YouTube. I’m even lacking there. Plenty of video on my computer to edit. (www.youtube.com/isnoggedharry)*
